Sweet Berry Farm 915 Mitchell’s Lane Middletown, RI 02842

Sweet Berry Farm is a post-and-beam farm market and café situated on 100 acres of conserved farmland, right around the corner from the Greenman's home. Grab breakfast or lunch from their market of freshly grown seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables as well as a variety of gourmet and specialty foods. You can pick your own fruit their all season long, the apples should ripe when you're in town. 

Norman Bird Sanctuary  583 3rd Beach Road, Middletown, RI 02842, United States 401.846.2577

The Norman Bird Sanctuary is comprised of 300+ acres in the Paradise Valley, only a few miles from the Greenman home. For a small entry fee, explore the diverse habitats on several miles of maintained trails, including the iconic Hanging Rock overlooking Paradise Valley with unparalleled views of Second Beach and Sachuest point. The Sanctuary is a community organization that has impacted the quality of life on Aquidneck Island and across the state for over sixty years. 

Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge  Sachuest Point Road, Middletown, RI, 02842, United States

Also just a few miles from the Greenman's, this National Wildlife Refuge on the eastern-most point of southern Aquidneck Island features over 200 acres of protected ecosystems along the Sakonnet River with over 3 miles of trails and shoreline access. A great spot for birding!

First Beach  Memorial Boulevard, Newport, RI, 02842, United States

Also known as Easton's Beach – Right at the base of the Cliff Walk on Memorial Boulevard – Enjoy the 1950's carousel and food concession area…be sure to try their famous lobster roll! 

Second Beach  Sachuest Point Road, Middletown, RI 02842, United States

Also known as Sachuest Beach – Second is known for it's waves, especially at Surfer's End. The far left is another favorite spot, with a more mellow break perfect for a quick swim. 

Third Beach/Peabody's Beach  Third Beach Road, Middletown, RI 02842, United States

Third Beach is Emma's childhood beach, great for kids and a relaxing day in the sun! Set in a cove, there's just the right wind for small vessel sailing & stand up paddle boarding!

The Cliff Walk  Memorial Boulevard, Newport, RI, 02840, United States

This 3.5-mile walk along Newport's pristine coastline will give you a waterfront tour of the majestic gilded era mansions, and an awe-inspiring view of the Rhode Island Sound. Finish (or begin!) your walk with a drink at the Chanler's Terrace. Enter from Eustis Avenue above First Beach or Ochre Point Avenue.

Newport Mansion Tours  424 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI, 02840, United States

The Newport "summer cottages" are a must-see… Our favorites include the Breakers, the Elms, Marble House, Rosecliff, and Chateau Sur Mer. Tickets are available at each location and tours are available through the Preservation Society of Newport.

Newport Car Museum 1947 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871

This museum celebrate the Art of the Car and is an immersive and interactive museum. The private collection of over 50 automobiles focuses on six decades of modern industrial automotive design and celebrates cars as works of art. From the 1950s to the present, separate exhibits of Ford Shelby Cars, Corvettes, World Cars, Fin Cars and Chrysler Mopar.

Newport Preservation Foundation Tours

A must for history buffs! Tours of restored properties of the Doris Duke Foundation, including Rough Point, Whitehorse House Museum, Prescott Farm, and a garden tour of the three properties. Or, take a walk through the historic "Point" neighborhood that was home to boat builders, craftsmen, sea captains, merchants, and fishermen, dating back to the 1700's. 

Ocean Drive Historic District

This 10 mile stretch of coastline is wonderful to see by car, foot or bike. Stop at Castle Hill for a drink on the lawn or a lovely lunch overlooking Narragansett Bay. 

International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum  194 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI 02840, United States

Pay homage to the legends of Tennis in this incredible museum, or call to schedule some play time on their beautifully manicured grass courts!
